The DiskMantler Suite links two machines into one line. An operator loads up to five drives in the feeder; a conveyor takes them into the DeMAG, which erases the data and demagnetises the magnets. A transfer slide then moves each drive to the vertical DiskMantler, which dismantles it into its components. A debris conveyor carries the parts to a collection point.
Because the magnets are demagnetised first, the material streams stay clean: steel parts no longer stick to the magnets, and the neodymium magnets can be recovered. A Disk Popper removes any platters left in the housing.
The line stands on an aluminium base that can be moved with a forklift or pallet truck, and a sound enclosure reduces the noise of the DiskMantler. Plan the compressed-air supply and floor space before installation; we are happy to advise. Ask us for the dimensions, weight and electrical data of the complete line.
