Description

Newer hard drives store data at a higher density and use magnetic material with a higher coercivity. Such media need a stronger field to be erased reliably. The TS-4XTE is built for that: Garner specifies a minimum erasure field of 3 T and a peak of more than 4 T.

Operation is the same as on the TS-1XTE: drawer in, start, and about 30 seconds later the next cycle can begin. SCAN-1X is included to log every cycle. For a photo and report per drive, add IRONCLAD; with IRONCLAD the TS-4XTE processes up to 80 drives per hour.

The drawer takes drives up to 25.4 mm high. Remove any mounting frames first. Garner does not list the TS-4XTE on the NSA/CSS Evaluated Products List; if you need a listed degausser, choose the TS-1XTE.
