You place the drive or tape in the drawer and start the cycle. The TS-1XTE charges and sends a short, powerful pulse through the media. There is no cool-down time: the machine is ready for the next drive straight away.
The supplied SCAN-1X software records the serial number, date, time and field strength of every cycle. That lets you show which media were erased and when. If you also want a photo of every drive in the report, add IRONCLAD verification.
The TS-1XT Series appears on the NSA/CSS Evaluated Products List for magnetic degaussers (edition October 2026). Under NSA/CSS requirements, a hard drive erased with a listed degausser must then also be physically deformed, for example with the Garner PD-5E, which is on the list for hard drive deformers. We check both listings against the current list before delivery.
